In a recent live stream with fans, the actor was asked about an online rumor that he had signed a contract to star in a new drama. He immediately responded, "Don't listen to nonsense."
Liu then criticized the promotional strategies used by some companies today, stating that sometimes these companies already have an actor in mind but are unsure if that person will fit their drama.
He mentioned that these companies then "make a slip" by claiming "Liu Yuning will be starring in the drama," which allows his haters to have a field day attacking him and questioning the companies as to why he was chosen, according to Yahoo Singapore.
After one or two days, while Liu continues to be attacked online, the company will come forward to clarify that the actor in question is someone else, not Liu.
The actor stated that this cycle will not stop unless he leaves the entertainment industry. "They just took advantage of me first," he said. "And then they look down on me after they spurned me.
