On October 29, the film "Creation of the Gods 2: Demonic Confrontation," directed by Wu Ershan, was officially announced to be released during the upcoming Spring Festival.
This announcement comes after the director previously stated that the sequel to "Creation of the Gods 1: Kingdom of the Storms" had been postponed. The sequel was initially scheduled to be released in the summer of this year.
Through social media, director Wu Ershan revealed that the delay in the sequel's release was due to the complexities of post-production work, particularly related to special effects. He explained that, due to the success of the first film, the production team decided to enhance the visual effects in the second film to make them more sophisticated. This process, according to him, requires more time and effort.
As a substitute, in July this year, Wu Ershan released a live adaptation of the popular manhua, "Under One Person," which also starred several cast members from "Creation of the Gods." Unfortunately, this film received quite negative reactions from both film critics and fans of the manhua.
Now, "Creation of the Gods 2" will premiere on the first day of the Lunar New Year 2025, which is January 29, 2025. This film serves as a bridge between the first and third parts of the "Creation of the Gods" trilogy, centering on "The Defense of Xiqi," depicting the battle between two major factions, Yin Shang and Xiqi, as reported by Sohu.
In the released poster, the film's title is displayed in an ancient decorative style, creating a distinctive atmosphere. The background of the poster features important figures representing both factions, showcasing the ongoing tension in the struggle.
The film stars several renowned actors, including Fei Xiang, Huang Bo, Yu Shi, Chen Muchi, and Naran. With this impressive cast, fans can expect captivating and emotionally charged performances.
