Zhao Lusi Likes Post Criticizing Her Agency, Sparking Internal Conflict Speculation

LayarHijau.com – Chinese actress Zhao Lusi (26) has once again become a hot topic after sharp-eyed netizens discovered that she liked a lengthy post on Xiaohongshu criticizing her agency, Galaxy Cool Entertainment, for allegedly favoring fellow actress Meng Ziyi. This seemingly subtle action was interpreted by many as a public protest and an attempt to pressure the agency, drawing massive attention and support from fans.

The post Zhao liked accused the agency of booking 10,000 cloud screenings for Meng Ziyi’s new drama The Princess' Gambit, which were given away for free to users who bought platform memberships or movie tickets. In contrast, Zhao’s previous hit dramas like Love Like the Galaxy and Hidden Love never received such treatment. Many fans expressed sympathy for Zhao and questioned the agency's unequal distribution of resources.

Media outlet World Journal also reported that Galaxy Cool Entertainment was on the brink of bankruptcy in 2020. However, Zhao Lusi helped revive the company through the success of The Romance of Tiger and Rose, which attracted investment from Alibaba Pictures. Despite this, she reportedly never received the treatment of a top-tier actress. When Zhao allegedly struggled with depression, the agency was said to have concealed her condition and continued to overload her with work.

By liking the “biased post,” Zhao was seen as subtly voicing her long-standing frustration toward the agency. Many praised her courage to stand up for herself.

The situation escalated when Galaxy Cool Entertainment posted a brief response on its official Weibo account on June 25, 2025, simply stating “already arranged” with an OK emoji. Instead of calming fans, the dismissive tone sparked outrage. Comments like “What exactly is arranged? A private screening for Love's Ambition?”, “Terminate the contract and pay 300,000!”, and “If it’s not a private screening, just shut up,” flooded the post.

Meanwhile, Meng Ziyi has recently risen to fame through the costume drama Blossom, co-starring Li Yunrui. She shared that in the past, her birthday was ignored by the agency, but last year, they even organized a special dinner for her—indicating a clear shift in how the agency treats her.

Meng Ziyi is not signed under Galaxy Cool Entertainment—she is managed by Yuekai Entertainment. However, Galaxy Cool still provided strong promotional support for her new drama, The Princess' Gambit, as the company is one of the main investors in the project.
