In his comment, Yu Zheng wrote, “First of all, I didn’t target the male lead. I just couldn’t stand the noise from his fans.” He added that the fate of the drama depends not on the actor who had already signed the contract, but on whether the production team is willing to sign a supplementary agreement.
“Whether we can move forward now depends on whether we’re willing to sign a new agreement—not the male lead who already signed. Also, the first role we signed has been adjusted for the overall situation. Can’t I tell the truth?” he continued.
Yu also pushed back against accusations that the drama was a low-quality project. “We never said this was a 'three-no' drama. We would never accept something like that,” he wrote, referring to a negative label for projects with no script, no funding, and no professional crew.
