LayarHijau.com – After two years of anticipation from fans, popular actress Dilraba Dilmurat is finally returning to the screen with two new dramas airing almost simultaneously. The news immediately sparked excitement across China and among international drama lovers.
Her last drama, The Legend of Anle (安乐传), which aired two years ago and starred Gong Jun as her co-lead, received disappointing ratings and mixed reviews.
Although she seemed to have vanished from television, Dilraba has actually remained very active behind the scenes over the past two years. One of her recent projects is her participation in the reality-variety program The Truth Season 3 (开始推理吧 第三季), a detective-style show where celebrities live together and solve mysteries in a dramatized format. The cast includes well-known names like Bai Yu, Liu Yuning, Zhang Linghe, and Zhou Keyu. The show premiered on May 1, 2025, and is still airing every Thursday and Friday on Tencent Video and WeTV, with a total of 20 episodes running approximately 75 to 100 minutes each.
In addition to her variety show appearance, Dilraba recently completed filming for Shaolin Women’s Soccer (少林女足), directed by Stephen Chow. This sports comedy features Dilraba as the lead—a martial arts-trained soccer player from the legendary Shaolin school. Filming wrapped in early June 2025, with reports confirming that she finished all her major scenes in a short period.
Moreover, she is set to begin filming a new movie titled Burning Glacier (燃烧的冰川), which focuses on ALS patients. Still in pre-production, the project has already drawn attention for its sensitive social theme and emotional depth.
Public attention now shifts to her two upcoming dramas set to premiere soon. The first is Sword and Rose (利剑玫瑰), a gritty crime investigation series tackling the serious issue of human trafficking involving women and children. Dilraba plays a female police officer working alongside a character played by Jin Shijia to dismantle underground criminal networks. For this role, she underwent special police training, performed her own car chase stunts, and even sustained bruises during filming. She sports a bare, no-frills look in this drama, emphasizing her commitment to portraying a grounded and powerful character. Roses and Guns is expected to air on CCTV during the summer slot, likely between July and August 2025.
The second drama, Love on the Turquoise Land (枭起青壤), combines elements of fantasy, mystery, action, and romance. Acting alongside Chen Xingxu, Dilraba plays Nie Jiuluo, a graceful sculptor who is secretly a descendant of the elite Chian Tou Army and a feared demon slayer known as “Mad Blade.” She uses blood to sharpen her blade and eliminate demonic creatures called Earth Owls. She meets Yan Tuo (Chen Xingxu), a man hiding many secrets of his own, and together they uncover ancient conspiracies, stepping into a mystical world full of strange creatures and dangerous missions. The drama is scheduled for release in mid-July on Tencent Video and WeTV, following the conclusion of Reborn (焕羽), starring Zhang Jingyi and Zhou Yiran.
In addition to these two high-profile dramas, Dilraba also stars in another upcoming title, Love Beyond the Grave (慕胥辞), a supernatural romance pairing her with rising star Chen Feiyu. Although the official release date hasn’t been announced, the drama has already completed filming and is expected to air later this year.
Dilraba first rose to national fame nearly a decade ago through her breakout role in Diamond Lover (克拉恋人). Reportedly, her popularity surged after lead actress Tang Yan was absent from filming for about a month, giving Dilraba unexpected screen time that won viewers’ hearts.
