A netizen posted a video showing Xiaoming and his parents enjoying the traditional You Shen procession (which literally means "Wandering Gods") in Fujian. In the footage, a woman resembling Ye Ke stood out in the crowd.
She was wearing a white hat and a loose-fitting coat, appearing to be about eight months pregnant. The woman stood about three meters away from Xiaoming, seemingly keeping her distance to avoid suspicion, and maintained a "stranger-like" separation while they walked.
Xiaoming was also very cautious. In a video he shared on Weibo, Ye Ke’s face was deliberately blurred or covered with captions whenever she appeared in close-up shots, so she wouldn’t be easily recognized.
This has fueled rumors that their public breakup was staged to protect Xiaoming's image following the controversies involving Ye Ke, and the couple has been mocked for their poor attempt at hiding their relationship.
