Zhao Lusi Releases Statement About Her Illness and Incident of Being Hit During an Audition

In her writing, she discusses her physical condition and the bitter experiences she has endured, including her struggle with depression that began in 2019. She also referenced a friend's earlier viral post about being humiliated and hit for failing an audition.

In the following years, Zhao Lusi faced various health issues, including pneumonia and the deaths of family members. All of this led to distressing physical symptoms such as vomiting, dizziness, joint pain, and worsening neck pain in 2024. Although she had never spoken about her illness before, she felt it was important to provide the public with insight into her experiences, without wanting to turn this situation into mere "hype." 

Additionally, Zhao Lusi addressed the emotional violence she has faced throughout her life, as reported by Sohu. As a child, she believed that being hit for not studying well was normal, which made her hesitant to admit that her tutor had abused her. 

As an adult, she encountered violence again, this time feeling guilty for not securing a desired role. She described this experience as a significant "breakup fee," as she had to constantly deal with rumors and slander circulating in the industry. 

In the conclusion of her article, Zhao Lusi stated that regret is a useless emotion. She expressed her desire to overcome the inner contradictions that have troubled her and is determined to rebuild herself. She also thanked everyone who has provided support and love over the years.
