Li Yitong Reacts to Pregnancy Rumors After 8-Month Hiatus

LayarHijau– Li Yitong opened up about being one of the actresses who fell victim to baseless rumors after taking an 8-month break.

She shared this during her guest appearance on the reality-variety show Mao Xue Woof. In a trending clip on Weibo, Li Yitong was chatting and eating with host Mao Buyi and Li Xueqin.

Li Xueqin asked how long it usually takes to shoot a drama. Li Yitong explained that she typically spends about 4 months filming a drama. So, if everything goes smoothly, she can take on 3 projects in a year.

The host then asked if she takes breaks during those 12 months. Li Yitong confirmed this, saying, "The longest break I've ever taken was 8 months."

This sparked Li Xueqin's curiosity. She asked, "If you’re out of the public eye for 8 months, won’t people get suspicious? Like, ‘Did she get married and pregnant?’"

Li Yitong agreed with the host's example, saying, "That’s happened before. I did take an 8-month break between shoots, like when I took my dad on a vacation."

Then she mentioned reading strange comments about her taking a break because she was pregnant.

"I’ve been asked by close friends and overheard people talking behind my back about those rumors," Li Yitong said.

Li Xueqin pointed out that these rumors usually spread online and then get discussed in real life without anyone clarifying with the person involved.

With a smile, Li Yitong responded, "For example, if I really were pregnant, I’d definitely let everyone know, right? I love sharing happiness."

The host reacted to such rumors, mentioning that nowadays, it's tough for actresses to hide things like pregnancy from the public.

Li Yitong also expressed her desire to have kids someday, revealing that she really likes kids.

She’s not the only actress who’s been rumored to be pregnant after a few months off. Another actress, Dilraba Dilmurat, faced similar rumors after taking a 7-8 month break, only appearing for promotional events.
