Princess Agents: Ice Lake Rebirth Appears on Douban, Here’s the Cast and Synopsis

LayarHijau – A few months ago, LayarHijau reported on the filming of the sequel to Princess Agents Season 2, titled Rebirth of Ice Lake. 

In earlier reports, filming was set to begin in September 2024. However, subsequent news indicated that it would start in October 2024. As of now, there has been no official announcement from the relevant parties, and no leaked photos from the filming locations have surfaced. 

Recent information has emerged on Douban confirming that this drama is indeed in production. According to the official page, Rebirth of Ice Lake, or Princess Agents: Ice Lake Rebirth, is slated to air in 2025 and will consist of 40 episodes. The information about the drama team currently lists only two main cast members: Li Yunrui and Huangyang Tiantian, as previously rumored.

It remains uncertain whether filming will commence as rumored in September or October 2024, and it is possible that filming may start next year. 

Synopsis of Ice Lake Rebirth 

According to the official Douban page, Ice Lake Rebirth tells a story of friendship, betrayal, and resilience featuring characters like Chu Qiao, Yan Xun, and Zhuge Yue. 

After being saved by Yan Xun, Chu Qiao's loyalty is tested when Yan Xun exploits her in a deadly ambush against Zhuge Yue. Their fall into the ice lake marks a turning point, igniting Chu Qiao's desire for revenge as she believes Zhuge Yue is dead. 

As Yan Xun transitions from friend to foe, his dark transformation sharply contrasts with Chu Qiao's unwavering determination. She struggles against Yan Xun's attempts to control her while secretly searching for Zhuge Yue, whom she suspects is still alive.

This tension drives the narrative as Chu Qiao navigates political chaos and her complicated feelings toward both men. The emergence of a mysterious savior, who turns out to be Zhuge Yue, adds an element of surprise and reignites hope for Chu Qiao. 

By the end of the story, her journey culminates in the unification of the people and the restoration of peace, showcasing her growth from a slave girl to a powerful figure for the greater good. 

This tale reflects resilience, the pursuit of justice, and everlasting love amidst various conflicts. From the synopsis, it appears that this drama will continue from Season 1, as it addresses Zhuge Yue's drowning in the ice lake. Now, we just have to wait for an official announcement from the drama team or leaked photos from the set to confirm the production of this drama.
