Dylan Wang gained attention after a blogger, Wang Dafa, revealed during a livestream on Douyin that the actor gave his ex-girlfriend an exceptionally high breakup fee. In the livestream, the blogger and his partner stated that Dylan Wang is very responsible.
After being in a relationship with his ex-girlfriend for several years, he reportedly provided a breakup fee so substantial that it could buy half of Xiao Zhan's house.
The blogger’s mention of Xiao Zhan’s name caused the actor to trend with the hashtag related to his house. However, the bloggers could not provide any evidence to support their claims about Dylan Wang's ex-girlfriend.
Weibo users reacted to the blogger's statements. Most of Dylan Wang's fans laughed off the comments from the two bloggers and chose instead to discuss Dylan Wang's new drama with Tian Xiwei, Guardians of the Dafeng. “Who is Wang Dafa? We should pay more attention to the actor's works,” wrote one netizen.

Xiao Zhan's fans also responded similarly to Dylan Wang's fans under the hashtag related to Xiao Zhan's house. “Xiao Zhan’s new house was announced on the first day of the Lunar New Year, location the cinema,” wrote one fan while promoting Xiao Zhan's new film, The Legend of the Condor Heroes: The Great Hero.

Others preferred to respond to the blogger's claims with humor. “I'm just shocked. I'm still curious when Xiao Zhan became so rich?” joked one user.
